Our Research

Research on mechanisms underlying successful health behavior change faces challenges inherent to small sample studies, a relative limited focus on replication, inconsistent reporting of mechanistic research, and a long road to funding for novel mechanistic research. The Mechanistic Behavioral Research Consortium provides a team science approach to these issues, helping provide the expertise, guidance, and collaborations to facilitate larger-sample team-science studies while minimizing burden to any one collaborating site. Our collaborative efforts have the potential to yield better data faster, helping move mechanistic behavioral science forward.
